Sunday saw Cinderford ladies travel away to Yate in their second league game of the season and with what can only be described as a Biblical downpour leaving the club could only wonder if the game would take place. But no need to worry the sky’s cleared and the pitch held up well, captain Laura Byrne led from the front with a personal tally of 3 tries and guest player Elaine James with 3. A welcome return to the field after a long injury absence was Lilly Walker who slotted back well into the scrum half position and scored a great solo try. The final try was scored by Lilly Tippins. Amy Thorne slotted four conversions to finish the score at 48-7 to Cinderford
It was a great all-round performance from the team with some only starting to play rugby for the first time this season 2 of which picked up player of the match. For the backs was Kate Thorne whose tackling and line breaks were second to none, and with Meg WK getting forward of the game for her constant tackle counts and support play played a great part in the overall team performance a couple of weeks off now until the home game on the 10th of November against Dings.
