Coach Dan Cooper had nothing but praise for the Cinderford RFC under 14s boy’s, 7 a side team he took to Kingsholm as an opener session for the J.P.Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Cup. Traveling with only 7 players in all and on what was a very hot day the boy’s settled into their stride early reaching the main cup competition final.
Beating Minchinhampton 20 points to 15, Dan Nichols & Liam Thomas both scoring 1 try each & Tom (Husain Bolt ) Reynolds 2. In the second match they beat Widden 20/10 Nick Watkins 1 Tom the Bolt Reynolds 3. They then faced the daunting task of playing the favourites Ledbury who had a large squad to chose from but the boy’s gave it their all in the final losing 20/0 but came out with heads held high after a good afternoons 7s rugby.
