Cinderford were beaten for the first time on the road this season when they lost out to Rams at their Old Bath Road ground.
The home side made a strong start to the match and they opened the scoring when second-row Connor Stapely forced his way over from close range, with Will Partington adding the conversion. The visitors responded well with winger making good ground before passing to Terence Babarinsa who scored a try, which James Butler converted. Back came the hosts and they scored twice in a three-minute spell when first prop James Baker was driven over, with Partington adding the extras and then a poor kick allowed winger Connor Corrigan to score wide out.
Another defensive lapse lead to Rams scoring their bonus point try, which was well finished by winger Henry Bird, with Partington making it 26-7 with the conversion. Cinderford pressed hard for a score to get them back in the match either side of the interval, but strong defence from their opponents denied them any opportunity. After this the weather conditions deteriorated making it tough-going for both teams and the only further score in the match proved to be a penalty from Partington.
