Player Development Manager Paul Morris will temporarily head up Cinderford Rugby Club’s playing arm while the club takes stock after this week’s departure of former Director of Rugby Nicholas Corrigan. Clive Stuart-Smith will continue in the lead role of attack coach while assistant coaches Richard Planchant and Seb Merrit also remain in place.
Morris spelled out his playing philosophy at a player packed meeting before Tuesday night’s training session at St Peters School Sports Hall.
The well respected and experienced former Old Pats and Gloucester U20s coach, who has steered Cinderford’s successful United XV for several years, will chair team selection with input from Stuart-Smith and the rest of the coaching staff.
Teams for the Cinderford’s First and United XVs, who both travel to Esher this weekend, will be announced at Thursday evening training at Dockham Road.
