Cinderford girls had a full weekend of rugby, starting on Saturday with the under 15’s entertaining touring team High Wycombe on the Dockham road ground before the 1st teams final home game.
The girls got stuck in from the start with try’s from Poppy Godwin two, Chloe Palmer two & Millie Atkins, Chloe Ervig, Amelia Clarke getting one try each. Chloe Ervig converting two and Niamh Brennan one resulting in a good win, and they also won the boat race!
Sunday saw all three age groups travel to Winscombe Rfc to play in a tens competition which also included Chippenham.
First to start were the U18’s against Winscombe resulting in a draw with the home side snatching a try in the last seconds to achieve it.
Try’s came through Elle-Jay Browning with two Saffron Smith and Cari’s one each Niamh converting two to finish the score Cinderford U18’s Girls 24 Winscome U18’s Girls 24
Second game against Chippenham was a different story with Cinderford 18’s running their opponents off the pitch with Elle-Jay Browning being told to tie her shoe laces together for a second week by the ref after scoring three blistering try’s ,Mille Purser two and Niamh Brennan two try’s and three conversions to finish the game Cinderford U18’s Girls 43 Chippenham U18’s Girls 17

The under twenty fives on the adjacent pitch started their day with a convincing win over Chippenham Ronnie Thomas got two try’s, and captain Elle Murrell, Chloe Palmer, Millie Atkins,Fenn Wightman Smith and Chloe Ervig one a piece with Ervig and Smith converting.
Cinderford U25’s 22 Winscombe U25’s 24
The second game against Winscombe was a closer affair just losing out with Millie Atkins getting two great try’s in this and Fenn Wightman Smith grabbing her second try . Chloe Ervig finished the score with a try and conversion.
The U13’s put in another spirited performance narrowly missing out by one try in the first game and losing the second by more but a great effort by all, and great to see Emily Ervig back from injury and taking part. Captain Francesca Clarke and the Brennan twins also putting in a great shift well played all.
