Cinderford Determined to Deliver at Home v Blaydon
Saturday 7 March, KO 2:30pm (National 1)
DOR Nic Corrigan and the team are concentrating on Saturday’s game, without the distraction and debate regarding remaining fixtures and league table positions, as they welcome mid-table Blaydon RFC to the Forest of Dean. Following a week’s break and much needed rest, the squad has been focused on building fitness levels in readiness for this important fixture.
Taking the positives from the recent and disappointing Old Albanian fixture Corrigan has called on the players to kick start this weekend’s home game with energy, precision and the right mental attitude. “We are determined to deliver a full 80 minutes of top-flight rugby and put in a ruthless and clinical performance. We are under no illusion about the test we have in front of us. It’s time for us to play honest rugby for our club and this weekend presents a great opportunity for us to show our loyal supporters what we are about as a group.”
Just a few changes this week sees Elliot Booley return to the front row squad for a rested Chris Bundy and Jake Caulfield moves to play for United. Milo Reynolds returns to the squad after impressing with United last week against Barnes, and a rested Alex Frame also returns for an injured Perry Humphreys (DR Worcs).
#teamcindy news sees Cinderford United travel to play Worthing Raiders KO 3:00pm. Cinderford Stags travel a little closer to home to play Old Cents 2nds at 2:30pm while Bucks play Cirencester 2nds at 2.30pm on Cinderford’s second home pitch.
Good luck to all teams.
