Cinderford U17’s got their County Cup campaign off to a flyer at the Beavis Memorial Ground on Sunday beating Dursley 22 17. Cinderford started slowly and took a while to get into the game, allowing Dursley to go in at the break winning 12 3 Joe Worgan slotting the penalty for the home team.
After strong words at half time from coach Steve Bevan, Cinderford came flying out of the blocks and responded with a try of their own from Kane Del Nivo converted by Joe Worgan. Two more tries followed from Brandon Collins and Tom Reynolds with Joe Worgan adding one more conversion completing a fantastic comeback for the home team. Dursley rallied to finish the game with a further try which went unconverted and this brought an end to the game with Cinderford relieved to here the final whistle.
