Before the game started, a 2 minute silence was held for Remembrance Day.
This local derby promised a close and intense encounter and the sides did not disappoint. An early injury to Ryan Kibble saw him replaced by Jack Robbins. In a hard fought first half, 2 tries from Will Baldwin, both converted by Jack Guy and a single unconverted try from Berry Hill saw Cinderford take a well deserved half time lead of 14 – 5.
Some tough tackling from both sides meant that the intensity continued throughout the second half and a further try from Luke Marrot and a penalty try, converted by Ollie Moore with 2 converted tries from Berry Hill saw Cinderford victorious by 26 – 19. Luke Marrot’s second half try was a fine individual effort seeing him run from his own half to score a vital 5 points for Cinderford.
