A last minute try and conversion by Pencoed snatched victory from Cinderfords under 15 girls after battling through snow storms and on a freezing wet day it was a close thriller with plenty of good rugby played led by both sides Cinderford had the edge till the last minute of the game, with number 10 Niamh Brennan scoring 1 and converting 2 also usual point scorers Millie and Ruby Purser getting one a piece and also putting in some great cover tackles as did the rest of the team but a win was just out of reach finishing 22/19 to the home side.
After this game the under 18s played cheered on by their younger team mates which produced another close game this time with Imogen Annis scoring out wide and loan player Ellie also touching down but this was not enough to win with the final score 20/10 to the home side a big thank you to all who took part and for the support of parents and players, And a great thank you to the host’s who were very accommodating and is the old club of ex Welsh international Gavin Henson.
