This week The Cinderford U12’s took part in the forest combination cup which was celebrating 100 years of Forest rugby. Cinderford took on Lydney, Berryhill and Drybrook.
1st up was Berryhill, Cinderford started well with 2 quick tries from in form winger Will Ruck. Next over the try line was centre Matty Jones followed by Captain Harry Taylor to round off the 1st half.
The 2nd half saw Cinderford score 4 mores tries from Charlie Manns, Freddie Knight and 2 more from Matty Jones. Cinderford win 40 – 0
The next game saw Cinderford take on Lydney. In the toughest game of the day it took Cinderford time to break Lydneys defence but it came just before half time from Harry Taylor.
Cinderford attacked from the restart and Harry Taylor crossed the try line again. Cinderford were now in control with the Cinderford pack leading the way and Prop Ben Grindle adding the 3rd try. Centre Charlie Manns finished the scoring off and gave Cinderford a 20 – 0 win.
Drybrook were next and a 45 – 0 win for Cinderford. The 1st and 3rd try came from winger Freddie Knight, Full back Henry Godwin added 2 more. Fly half Zac Littlefair stole a yard and broke through to score before Cinderfords forwards Ollie Cook, Harry Taylor, Ben Grindle and Morgan Embling completed the scoring.
Cinderford scored 21 tries and conceded 0 on a great day for Forest rugby, and particularly the victorious Under 12’s
