Coventry emerged as comfortable winners from this National One encounter, outscoring a struggling Cinderford team by six tries to one.
The home side took an early lead when outside-half Angus Bowyer landed a penalty, before Coventry scored their opening try through Gaston Mieres. Another penalty from Bowyer briefly put Cinderford ahead but the visitors soon replied when second-row Ben Thomas forced his way over.
More excellent approach play from Coventry saw them score a third try on the half hour when hookier Matt Price touched down, with Matt Jones converting. Just before the interval the home side got themselves back into the game when No8 Matt Lane raced over for a try from half-way, with Bowyer converting.
Coventry were in control for much of the second half, scoring three more tries as their opponents best efforts came to nothing. No8 Jacques Le Roux, winger Pete Weightman and replacement Scott Hamilton scored for the visitors, with Jones landing all three conversions.
