Welsh Premiership side Llandovery proved too strong for Cinderford in this pre-season encounter, but the home side will take some positives from their performance.
Luke McMahon kicked a penalty as Cinderford made a promising start to the match, before the visitors replied with a try from hooker Dafydd Hughes from a lineout catch and drive. Further tries followed for the Welshmen from Owain Davies (2) and Jack Maynard, who also kicked two conversions as they built up a comfortable looking 24-3 lead at the interval.
Both sides rang the changes at the start of the second half and Cinderford were eventually rewarded for their efforts when Aaron Ryan touched down. Llandovery scored their fifth try through Jack Parkinson, but the home side had the final say when winger George Bvuma crossed wide out.
