Cinderford RFC has bolstered its squad with the short term signing of fly-half Callum Sheedy as a dual registered player from Bristol Rugby Academy, until the end of the season.
With the aim of topping up his game time, 20 year old fly half, Callum Sheedy, has become the latest Bristol Rugby player to be dual registered allowing him to play Cinderford RFC. Competing in the third tier of English rugby, playing for the Foresters gives Sheedy the valuable rugby he requires and he starts training with the squad next week.
Sheedy is looking forward to this new chapter in his rugby career with the opportunity to gain game time in the competitive National 1 league as part of his development. A student from Millfield School, Sheedy represented Bristol United in 2013 and joined the Bristol Rugby Academy in 2014.
Director of professional rugby and & coaching, Nic Corrigan said: “We enjoy a good relationship with Bristol Rugby and are pleased to welcome Callum to the squad, and to help fast track his progression during his time here. At ten he brings extra strength and depth to this position, alongside James Moffat, Mike Wilcox, who also plays at fly-half, and Tom Law who continually impresses in our United fixtures.”
