Ahead of the start of pre season training tonight at The University of Gloucestershire, Oxstalls, Cinderford RFC are delighted to announce another young signing with Alex Jackson from Merthyr Rugby Club joining the National League program. Jackson returns to England having completed his studies at University in South Wales. Jackson represented the University of South Wales 1st XV from 2011-2015 and enjoyed a season with Welsh outfit Merthyr Rugby Club who Cinderford will face at Dockham Road on the 15th August to begin their pre-season preparations.
Nic Corrigan was pleased to announce his latest summer signing commenting “This is another sign of our intent to add young players to our squad who want to work in the local community and have been previously developed in Gloucestershire return to test themselves in National League One. We will be signing two further players this week. Signings are great and add a new era for the Club. We need a focused summer where we are working for the Club and Town of Cinderford like never seen before. We want people with a character and an ambition to make themselves the best possible person they can be.
