In form Plymouth Albion secured a bonus point victory on their first visit to Dockham Road overcoming a spirited Cinderford team.
The visitors were quickly into their stride and No8 Herbie Stupple scored the opening try with less than two minutes played, with Matt Shepard landing the conversion. More pressure from the visitors then led to the referee awarding them a penalty try in the 12th minute, which Shepard converted.
Chris Eden landed a penalty to give Cinderford their opening points but Shepard responded with two successful kicks at goal to make 20-3 to Plymouth on the half hour. A lineout catch and drive then led to a try for home prop Derek Appiah, which Eden converted. Just before the interval Plymouth were rewarded for their adventure when they ran the ball from deep and a kick and chase ahead eventually led to second-row Ed Holmes crossing for a try which Shephard again converted.
The visitors got their bonus point early in the second-half when outside-half Billy Searle intercepted a pass and raced clear to score under the posts, with Shepard adding the extras. After this Cinderford were much improved and hooker Tom Bozzard scored two tries from lineout drives, with Eden converting one.
The final stages saw the home side encamped on their opponents try line but they were unable to get the score that would have given them at least a couple of points.
