Cinderford prepare this week for the round 3 of National 1 League. After 2 losses in the first two rounds of the league the team will have to show improvement this Saturday at Dockham Road in order to come away with their first win of the season. In their last game against Blackheath last week the Foresters suffered a severe 44-10 defeat, however the team will be looking to change the momentum around as they face undefeated Ampthill on Saturday. Tuesday, Bristol player Callum Sheedy rejoined the Club as part of a dual-registration deal, he will be expected to give the team an edge in the same manner as he did in the second part of the last season when Cinderford manage to survive the relegation battle.
Portuguese prop Francisco Bruno believes the team has to step up this weekend as a matter of respect towards the club and the supporters: “We are really looking forward to play in front of our home crowd at Dockham Road again. Our supporters and everyone involved at the Club deserve way more than two poor losses, we need to regain their respect and trust by performing well on the field this weekend. We still have a lot to prove in terms of character and team cohesion but as long as we follow our leaders, I believe we are able to show our true potential.”

One to Watch: Sam Hanks
Despite the disappointing results in the first two games, Sam has made a good start to the season and plays a crucial part of Cinderford’s success in the midfield. Having already started his score tally, let’s hope he performs even better this weekend!
