Cinderford completed their pre-season programme with a five try victory over a spirited Launceston side.
The home side looked a little laboured in the first-half and it took them 17 minutes to open the scoring when second-row Will Schloes touched down, after a spell of pressure near their opponents try-line. Right on the stroke of half-time Will Goodridge-Clark forced way over for a well taken try, which Ben Penfold converted to make it 12-0 to Cinderford at the interval.
The second-half started with an excellent try from home centre Rob Winchle, as the ball went through numerous hands. Cinderford were well on top at this stage and debutant hooker Davy McGregor was next to score, following some more fine approach play, with Penfold on target with the conversion.
A fifth try followed for Milo Reynolds, from a lineout catch and drive to make it 29-0 with ten minutes remaining. Launceston continued to show plenty of commitment however, and their efforts were rewarded with two well deserved tries in closing stages from Ed McGinley and Paul Hamber.
