Cinderford gained a bonus point victory over a hard-working Wharfedale side, who will have been disappointed not to have taken something from the game.
The visitors opened the scoring when hooker Steve Graham went over for an unconverted try.
Mark Davies and Tom Davidson then exchanged penalties, before Cinderford went ahead when hooker Tom Bozzard touched down for a try from a lineout catch and drive, with Davies adding the conversion. When the ball was moved to the blindside home full-back Mike Wilcox put winger Lloyd Stapleton away for a try in the corner to make it 15-8 after 26 minutes.
It took a terrific tackle from scrum-half Alex Frame to deny Dan Solomi a try for the visitors, before Cinderford scored again just before half-time through winger Sam Caven, again converted by Davies.
Play became rather scrappy in the early stages of the second-half but the visitors were back in the match when Simon Horsfall raced over in the corner. The home side hit back when Davies charged down an attempted clearance and scored a try which he also converted.
Back came Wharfedale and they were awarded a penalty try as they mauled their way to the line. Lloyd Davies added the conversion and then landed a penalty to make it 29-23 with six minutes remaining.
From the re-start Cinderford kicked deep into the visitors half and a loose pass was intercepted by Jack Adams, and he raced through to score under the posts, with Davies converting.
