On Sunday Cinderford U11s went to Berry Hill to play a combined Berry Hill/Drybrook team. In summary, 40 minutes were played in four quarters and the score ended 25 points each. No conversions were taken.
Berry Hill opened the scoring early in the first quarter, but by the end of the second quarter the score reflected an even contest at 10 points apiece. Captain for the day, Ellis Peacey scored Cinderfords two tries. Anthony Slattery was outstanding at fullback, making several fine tackles, taking a number of high balls and counter attacking with venom.
In the third and fourth quarters both sides attacked and defended in equal measure. For Cinderford Campbell Hills, Ben Jones and Jack Worgan scored tries in reply to three scores from Berry Hill. For Cinderford, new player Callum Bullock looked strong with ball in hand, and Louis Jayne led the immense forward effort.
