Cinderford were left frustrated as they lost out to Taunton Titans in their National 2 West clash at Veritas Park.
The visitors dominated in the early stages of the match, but they were unable to make he most of their opportunities to score and it was the home side who opened the scoring when Joe Snow went over, with Louie Sinclair converting. Just before half-time Cinderford’s Nathan Taylor was driven over unconverted try from a lineout maul to make it 7-5 at the interval.
Once again, the visitors were on top as the second half got underway, but they were first held up over the line, then adjudged to have knocked on as they went over in the corner. Taunton responded when Ratu Vakalutukali scored a try, which Sinclair converted, before Taylor grabbed his second for the visitors. The home scored the try of the match straight from the re-start through Oscar Kolowski, which Sinclair converted and they made it 28-10 when Vakalutukali scored his second, again bettered by Sinclair. Replacement scrum-half Sam Allford scored a try for Cinderford ten minutes from time, which McMahon converted but this proved to be the final score of the game.
