Cinderford RFC Under 14’s V North Bristol RFC Under 14’s – 9th Sept 2012

Cinderford’s first game of the new season, against “new” opponents, North Bristol RFC, played under “trial conditions” at a sunny Dockham Road.

The game was spread over 3 x 20 minute mini games to give everyone a run out.

The first game ended 7-7 with a home try by Matt Cook, converted by Jack Guy.

The second game ended 5-10 with the home try from Frazer Montague.

The third game ended 14-22 with the home try’s courtesy of Conor Gresty and Jack Guy and 2 Guy conversions.

In a hard fought opening encounter against tough opposition, the home side competed very well with all of the squad making contributions.

Overall scores of 26-39 reflected a good, if unlucky result, with Cinderford running out of steam in the final 10 minutes

With a few players unavailable today, we look forward to a tough and challenging 2012/13 ahead, but early signs are encouraging.
