Cinderford Travels North to Tynedale
Saturday 10 January – National 1 (KO 2:00pm)

With a long trip north and following a disappointing start to the new year, Cinderford players vow to dig deep and pull out all the stops for their club as they face Tynedale on Saturday at 14:00hrs in a vital fixture for National 1 points and league safety.

Sitting side by side in the table it promises to be a tough game with much at stake for both sides. Nic Corrigan pulled no punches in training this week. “I have called on all the players to look at their application and discipline in their individual performances, and show their club how much they want to win. Last week was unacceptable but we move on. We freshened up our approach and drills in training this week to be more clinical, deliver the game plan and produce better territory management.”

“This week we have also made some changes to the 10-12 combination based on impressive performances in United fixtures. James Moffat comes in at ten and makes his First XV debut after playing for United and new joiner from Old Pats, Leo Fielding, inside centre, comes on to the bench. George Mills also returns to start in the back row and Ed King starts in the second row after returning last week after injury. Clive Stuart-Smith starts at scrum half on rotation with Alex Frame who moves to the bench.”

The home crowd supporters are also in for some top flight rugby when Cinderford United welcomes London Scottish Academy to the Beavis Memorial Ground at 2.30pm and Bucks welcome Dursley 3rds, also KO at 2.30pm. Good luck to all Cinderford Senior teams.
