Dings Crusaders Knights 12-17 Cinderford Stags

Cinderford Stags produced a stunning fight back in the final quarter of this GRFU Reserve League top of the table clash to claim an outstanding victory over Dings Crusaders.  With twenty minutes remaining the Stags were trailing 12-0, but Adam Wilce kicked a penalty before converting a penalty try to put Cinderford right back in the match.  Ten minutes from time Matt Bowles crossed for what proved to be the winning try, with Wilce again adding the extras, and Cinderford closed out the game to start their celebrations.

Fantastic away win at Dings. Coming from 12-0 down to win 12-17 was brilliant. Fantastic teamwork, tenacity in defence and flair in attack. Add to this determination coupled with a bit of dog resulted in a great win for this band of brothers. On behalf of all the ‘noisy’ supporters who crossed the bridge to watch this spectacle ….a big THANK YOU! Lastly cheers to Dings Crusaders RFC…a real rugby club that appreciated a cracking game of rugby and although being on the losing side still made us very welcome…cheers guys.
