Bucks Get Back to Winning Ways

Cinderford Bucks resumed their winning ways with an emphatic away win at Cheltenham Smiths. The Bucks played some scintillating stuff at times against a well drilled Smiths team.

Ryan Walding opened the scoring with a superb individual effort from the wing chipping over an oncoming defensive line and racing through to gather his own kick and run in under the post. He then converted the try. Walding added to the score shortly after by slotting a penalty. However Smiths came back into it just before the half time break with a pushover try which went unconverted. Half time score 10-6 to the Bucks.

After the break the Bucks started to stick to the game plan, getting better possession and making more use of their back line. This paid dividends as the Bucks ran in a further 5 unanswered tries from their pacey backs. Ryan Davis (2) Ryan Walding (2) Luke Harris and a superb individual try by scrum half Dan Nicholls evading 3 tackles to score in the corner. Man of the match however was Center Joe Worgan who’s tackling and creativity with the ball stood out.
