Cinderford On Form for Crucial Performance
Away v Rosslyn Park KO 3pm
Saturday 26 April — National 1

With this possibly being Cinderford’s last game of the season, the Foresters travel to Rosslyn Park for what promises to be one of the games of this campaign in National 1. With tough battles at the top for promotion and at the bottom to stave off the relegation zone, the whole league runs out today with motivation and high expectations.

The Cinderford – Rosslyn Park fixture is one of those vital games for both sides, albeit for differing reasons. The Park requires a victory and for Doncaster Knights to lose, to gain promotion to the Championship. Cinderford requires the points to move up to mid table and safety, and remain in the division for the seventh season running.

Said director of rugby, Andy Deacon: “The whole squad realises the importance of this game and we are totally prepared and revved up for it. Our away form since the turn of the year gives us good reason for optimism. Our confidence is high after beating Old Albanians at their place last week and picking up four points on the road. The challenge ahead on Saturday will be significantly tougher, but the boys have the talent and capabilities to deliver a positive and shock result.”

Changes in the team this week see Tom Hicks return to the second row in place of the impressing Milo Reynolds. George Mills returns to the starting line up replacing Will Keenan who is on his way to play in New Zealand for their season start. Good luck to him. James Brooks replaces the unavailable Joe Smart on the bench in the front row and Lance Randall comes back into the squad after recent England Counties U20s trials. Nev Codlin has now recovered from a quad injury to replace Alex Frame on the bench.

Cinderford United play local neighbours Berry Hill, away.

Good luck to all teams.
