Cinderford crashed to their worst defeat of the season, as Richmond helped themselves to seven-try victory. The visitors started brightly and opened the scoring when a long pass put winger Lloyd Stapleton away to score an unconverted try in the corner. Richmond successfully defended more pressure from their opponents before responded with tries from James Greenwood and Tom Platt, who also landed both conversions and two penalties before Mark Davies replied with a penalty to make it 20-8 at the end of the half.

Will Browne’s breakaway try early in the second-half set the tone for the remainder of the match, and with Cinderford disrupted by a number of injuries Richmond took full advantage to score four more tries through James Falconer, Tom George, a penalty try and a second from Greenwood.  Platt kicked four more conversions to give him a personal tally of 23 points in the match.

Cinderford did have the consolation of a brace of tries from Nev Codlin, whose performance was one of the few positives on a day to forget for the Forest of Dean side.
