Cinderford On the Road to Old Albanian
Saturday 21st February KO 3:00pm (National 1)

With all eyes on what promises to be a very tight game indeed, the Foresters are on the road after last week’s home victory over the Students to meet league table neighbours, Old Albanian. Sitting side by side in National 1 both sides will be targeting this game for much needed league points.

“Whilst this game is hugely important for us, our focus is to continue building our brand of rugby and deliver a sustained performance this weekend and for the remaining games. We have shown we are strongly competitive and if we remain clinical and ruthless we can be successful. The results will continue to come if we all understand the process and play for the full 80,” said Nic Corrigan, DOR.

With Old Albanians carrying a few injuries, the Foresters are confident and see tomorrow’s fixture as an opportunity to push up the table in their bid to secure safety.

Changes to the team see the same forward pack as last week except for an injured Ed King who is replaced by DR player (Worcs) Shay Kerry. Perry Humphreys, also a dual registered player with Worcester Academy, makes his Cinderford debut on the wing for a rested Alex Frame. Prop Jake Caulfield makes a return back onto the bench, as does scrum-half Danny Pointon.

Other Cinderford games this weekend see the Stags away to Lydney 2nds KO 2.30pm and the Bucks at home to Old Crypts 2nds also at 2.30pm. Good luck to all teams.
