Match Report

Dino Dallavalle’s second try deep into injury time earned top of the table Cinderford a bonus point victory over a hard working Worthing Raiders team.

The home side were badly disrupted by injuries and they also received four yellow cards during the match.  The opening quarter was scoreless and it took until the 25th minute to finally break the deadlock when following a series of pick and goes from the home forwards prop Dallavalle forced his way over the try line, with James Moffat landing the conversion.

As half-time approached Cinderford set up an attacking lineout on the 22m line and their catch and drive proved to be unstoppable as replacement George Porter crashed over, with Moffat adding the conversion.

Moffat was on target again with a penalty early in the second half before Worthing responded with a well taken try from George Head.  The Forest of Dean side went over for a third try after 62 minutes, when Matt Lane forced his way over the line, with Moffat converting.

Worthing continued to play with plenty of purpose though and they scored a well deserved second try through replacement Jon Dawe, which Matt McLean converted.  It was Dallavalle though who went over in an extended period of injury time to take Cinderford ten points clear at the top of National 2 (South).
