Cinderford travels north to Fylde this Saturday
National 1 KO 3pm

This Saturday Cinderford travels north again to the west of England for their 7th National 1 fixture. The Foresters take on Fylde who, despite their indifferent start and being some pundits favourites to do well, always present a tough challenge at home and are hard to beat.

Said Andy Deacon, director of rugby: “Following our tough draw game against Richmond last week we have focused on our defensive line out drives in training and held great drill sessions to improve our performance at Fylde. We are still third in National 1 and with Lloyd Stapleton and Mark Davies proudly in the league top ten try and points scorers, respectively, we go to Fylde from a position off strength. Fylde play an attractive style of rugby and will be a dangerous opposition, but we are upbeat and confident for the win and points to stay in the top tier.”

“The side sees just a few changes starting with Joe Garner moving to the bench and Ed King regaining his first XV place. Luke Allen impressed last week and moves to blindside flanker. Sam Caven goes on to the bench and Lloyd Stapleton starts on a rotation policy. Stuart Bailey starts as hooker and Tom Bozzard is on the bench. Joe Smart comes in at loose head replacing James Brooks who picked up a knee injury.”
