Cinderford were left to rue a string of missed scoring opportunities before being completely overwhelmed by Fylde in the final quarter of this National One match.
The home side made the best possible start when they were awarded a penalty try as put their opponents scrum under pressure, with Chris Johnson converting. Then home No8 Dave Fairbrother took a quick tap penalty and crashed over, with Johnson again adding the extras to make it 14-0 in as many minutes.
Much of the remainder of the of the first-half was played deep in Fylde territory with Cinderford kicking several penalties into touch to set up attacking lineouts, but they were unable to take advantage and the score remained unchanged at half-time.
The visitors defence was tested in the early stages of the second-half, but it held firm before they gradually moved up field and some good handing led to second-row Jerry Sexton crossing for a try, which Angus Bowyer converted. A penalty attempt from Johnson as play restarted hit the upright, but a poor pass meant that Cinderford were once again unable to take their chance to breakaway.
After this the floodgates opened as Fylde ran riot scoring five further tries through Gareth Rawlings, Warren Spragg, Chris Briers, Jordan Dorrington and Joe Robinson, with Johnson landing three of the conversions.
