Cinderford Stags overcame the challenge of Drybrook United to regain the Forest of Dean Combination Junior Cup.

Andy Milner put Drybrook ahead with an early penalty, but the Stags responded with a well executed try from full-back James Cooper, which Dan Trigg converted to give his team a 7-3 lead at the interval.

Cinderford were on top territorially for long periods of the second half and Trigg extended their advantage with two penalties, before a strong run from man of the match Sam Morse put Daine Bradley away to score a try, which Trigg converted.  Drybrook finally put some pressure on their opponents line in the closing stages and were rewarded with a try from hooker Dean Jelf, which Tom Treherne converted, but there was not enough time left for them to close the gap any further and the Stags were able to start their celebrations.
