Cinderford travels to Coventry Rugby for its second Nat 1 Campaign fixture
Saturday 14 September KO 3pm

After a close fought battle against league favourites Rossyn Park last week, Cinderford travel to Coventry having taken a lot of positives from the tight game that saw the Foresters put on great defensive performance.

Upbeat and confident, director of rugby, Andy Deacon said: “We were disapointed to loose against Rosslyn Park having worked so hard in pre-season and successfully integrated new guys with our experienced and talented squad to put out a competitive side.”

“Our defense stood up very well against a very big and physical Park. With a bit more accuracy in certain areas we could have got the 4 points. It’s a long season ahead with a lot more rugby to play and build on what we have achieved so far. We have had another solid week in trainig joined by guest coach Paul Moriarty from Gloucester Rugby who ran a defence session on Tuesday for us.”

“The side sees a few changes from last week. Brad Davies makes his First XV debut at centre. Reece Boughton starts at scrum half. Nev Codlin is unavailable and Chris Hawkins makes a start. The Forwards stay unchanged.”

Cinderford United play Llandovery RFC 2 at home as do the Stags who take on Cleve RFC.  Good luck to all teams.
