Cinderford targeting another home win against Coventry
Saturday 11 October KO 2.30pm (National 1)

Looking to secure another strong win on home turf this weekend, Cinderford takes many positives from last week’s performance against league leaders Ealing Trailfinders.

Overall Neil Loader, head coach, was pleased with the good performance Cinderford delivered against London side: “Yet it was disappointing that we came away empty handed after making life very difficult for them,” he added.  “Ealing Trailfinders are now a full-time side since coming down from the Championship and that said they were disappointed in how they played but most of that was due to us. The boys put in a big effort but individual errors cost us in the end.”
“We welcome Coventry this week and we usually do well against them at home. They have a big pack and are a strong side. Our last home game saw us win against Tynedale and we have to be confident on our home patch again and repeat the good elements. There’s pressure every time Coventry take to the field due to their history but if we start well it will put that doubt in their mind and we can take the upper hand.”

“Training has been intense this week and the lads have shown a great, positive attitude. Analysis was right on point and both training sessions have been exemplary. We have also been joined by former Gloucester Rugby forwards coach Andy Stanley, who has been our guest coach and a big help. Well received by the forwards who have benefitted from his involvement and his feedback and DVD analysis has been invaluable. We hope to make an announcement soon as to our plans for a new coach to replace Saul.”

A few team changes see Jack Adams return after breaking his nose to centre with Charlie Norman moving to the wing in place of Henry Bird. Milo Reynolds starts in the second row rotating with Roger Birkin who moves to the bench. Alex Gordas, prop, comes onto the bench.

Good luck also to Cinderford United who travel to South Wales to play Mountain Ash Athletic KO is 2.30pm. Stags are home to Dings Crusaders at 3pm and Bucks away to Smiths 2nds so a big weekend for the Forest Club.
