Cinderford U16’s entertained Earlsdon RFC, a touring side from Coventry on Saturday.

In glorious sunshine Cinderford attacked the game from the start with Harry Johnson scoring in the first five minutes . The game was being played at a very fast pace and both teams were tackling well. However Cinderford kept up the pressure and Harry Johnson went over for his second of the game this time with Joe Worgan converting. By this time Cinderford seemed to have the upper hand and with Tom Reynolds scoring from a fine run from halfway and Mitch Skelton adding a try through a wonderful backs move again Joe Worgan converting both.

However Earlsdon did not give up and from a quick break had the try line begging only for full back Tom Reynolds to tackle high giving away a penalty try which was converted. Cinderford going in at the break 26 7 up. A few changes were made at half time and Cinderford came out where they left off. scoring a further 3 tries 2 more from flanker Harry Johnson making four on the day and one try from Joe Worgan who had his best game controlling every passage of play. Earlsdon got a try at the death to make the final score Cinderford 43 Earlsdon 14.
