Cinderford travelled to Longlevens today, which is always a closely fought match. Cinderford conceded an early try against a powerful Longlevens pack. Cinderford forwards then started to get parity and Oscar Baggs crashed over from close range to make it 5-5.
Cinderford were starting to use their stronger and faster back line spinning the ball wide for Adam Evans to score after a fine tackle busting run from the Longlevens 10 meter line Dan Kibble converting Following the restart a fine back move saw Adam Evans go in under the posts to give Cinderford a 17-12 half time lead.

Despite some questionable refereeing Cinderford started the second half in the same vein, as their fitter and faster forwards took control with some great work, hands and ferocious tackling. Cameron Ormond galloping down the park to feed Daniel Kibble for his first try from his own half also converted by Dan. Callum Phillips using great footwork and speed to score 2 try’s. Daniel Kibble scored two further try’s to shut out a tiring Longlevens side despite using a raft of subs.

This impressive victory was built on a solid and determined defence personified by Man of The Match Flanker Tim Nurse who seemed to be everywhere on the pitch and tackled like his life depended on it. Many thanks to Nick Kiss for his support whilst out injured, cheering his team mates on from the touch line. All in all a solid performance to maintain the winning start to the season. Cwmbran at home next week.
