The Foresters eased in to the County Cup semi-finals with a scrappy yet convincing victory over a Ciren side who arrived depleted with injuries but still manfully up for the game .. From quick scrum ball a deft kick from fly half Lee Turley over the defence allowed centre Robson Skipsey to gather and score .. Slick hands saw flanker Harry Johnson drive over with scrum half Davies adding the conversion for the next score .

The Home team pack were on top in the set piece with the front row of Turley ,Melhuish and Hopkins dominating the larger opposition ..

Pressuring the Ciren line prop Hopkins charged down the clearance kick dropping on the ball to score ..

Replacement winger Andrew Johnson scored a fine try after half time .. Second rows Chapman and Kemp were impressive in the lineout and loose .. Good skills allowed Skipsey to out pace the visitors bacline to sprint clear from his own twenty two to score again with Davies converting . Ciren had no answer to the pace of Skipsey as he side stepped the defence to complete his hat trick with flanker Johnson adding the conversion .

Cirencester were not going to give in and good driving play from their forwards saw them score a converted try to give some reward for a dogged effort .

With replacements O Carroll , Wilce ,Pye ,and Hoult all on the field the pace lifted and the industrious Scott Brown scored the final try to end the game …
