It will be a hard game on their home turf and Berry Hill is a strong opponent but I am totally confident that Cinderford United will rise to this challenge and perform at the level I know they are capable of delivering. Training has been focused and the motivation to retain the Cup is our main drive in this campaign. It’s also pleasing to see that we have three Colts players starting for United which is is a great achievement for these guys and for their continued development.”

Backs: Sam Watkins, Danny Trigg, Jack Wakefield, Aidan Price, Liam Littleton, Nicky Gait, Stef Hawley
Replacements: Chris Bundy, Mike Baldwin, Kyle Frowen, Chance Ridler, Morgan Goodall, Nathan Green

“Paul Morris has done a great job as the United manager keeping the guys motivated and active despite their fixture list being decimated by teams crying off last minute against our competitive and strong side; so a credit to the their dedication and attitude,” said Andy Deacon, Cinderford DOR.

On Sunday sees Cinderford Stags play Newent First XV at Lydney’s ground in the FoD Junior Combination Cup final, kick off 3pm. Again as the current title holders, Stags have had an outstanding season and fulfilled all fixture expectations so to reach the final is well deserved.
