Cinderford Bucks continued their impressive start to the season beating Dursley 3rds by 12 points to 3. In a hard fought game and with both sides being equally matched Cinderford took the lead with a try from winger Lee Clark, who powered his way over the line. The try went unconverted.

Dursley were awarded a penalty shortly afterwards and brought the score back to 5-3. The Bucks then started to spin the ball and got their reward with a wonderful passage of play involving both forwards and backs. With the ball moving through the hands Mike Ridler went under the posts to score the Bucks second try. This time converted by Simon Baldwin. With the Bucks giving away numerous penalties, Dursley couldn’t capitalise and the teams went in at the break 12-3.

The second half started as the first half ended with the Bucks giving away far too many penalties, with Bucks second row John Cook sin binned for going in at the side. Injuries now started to take its toll on both sides and although both teams gave their all there was no further score and the Bucks took the spoils. This was a huge learning curve for the youngsters in the bucks, but they were helped through the game by the older heads and everyone entered the club house in good spirits, saying how much they are enjoying their rugby at the moment. For the coaches Steve Bevan and Ryan Morgan this was welcoming news.
