Hartpury scored six tries as they overcame the challenge of Cinderford in this Gloucestershire derby.

Visiting No8 Will Safe scored the opening try of the match, following some good play by flanker Dan Thomas.  Scrum-half Ben Vellacott then crossed for two well taken tries, the second of which was a fine individual effort, as Hartpury led 17-0 after 25 minutes of play. Cinderford responded with a good passage of play that eventually led to hooker Tom Bozzard claiming a try following a lineout catch and drive.

The home defence was soon under pressure when play resumed in the second half and although they repelled numerous phases eventually Safe went over for his second try and the bonus point score, with Gareth Thompson landing the conversion.  Hartpury scored the try of the match after 66 minutes when they ran the ball from behind their own try line and winger Mark Harrison outpaced the home defence from the half-way line, with Thompson adding the conversion.

The scoring was completed with five minutes remaining, when the ball was moved out wide to Jonas Mikalcius and he touched down in the corner, with Thompson again on target with the conversion.
