Cinderford continued their good form with a comprehensive victory over first-time visitors London Irish Wild Geese.

The home side soon opened their account when a lineout catch and drive took the ball up to their opponents 22 and hooker Joe Mullis broke clear to score a try, which James Moffat converted. The Wild Geese had plenty of possession and even a territorial advantage for long periods, but they were unable to breakdown a resolute home defence.

A scrum on their opponents 22 led to the next Cinderford score when Aaron Ryan’s fine offload put Harrison Yorke over for a try, which was well converted from the touchline by Moffat. The outside-half then landed a penalty, before converting a try from prop forward James Tideswell who forced his way over from close range to make it 24-0 at the interval.

Cinderford went through the phases from the re-start and they secured the bonus point when Yorke was initially held up short, but was driven over the line to score his second try, with Moffat maintaining his 100% record from the tee.

Yellow cards for Sam Goatley and shortly afterwards Moffat temporarily reduced Cinderford to 13 men, but they still managed a fifth try through Reuben Norville after 67 minutes of play. Restored to their full complement the home side completed the scoring with a well taken try from second-row Dale Lemon, again converted by Moffat.
