A hat-trick of tries from Cinderford winger Nev Codlin helped his team register a much needed bonus point victory over Blaydon.

Playing at home for the first time for two months Cinderford were put under early pressure by the Blaydon forwards and from a lineout catch and drive flanker Harry Bate touched down for an unconverted try. The home side soon opened their account when scrum half Clive Stuart-Smith stole possession and Codlin showed great strength to force his way through for a try which Mark Davies converted.
Andrew Baggett regained the lead for the visitors when he kicked a penalty, and the score remained unchanged up until half-time.

Davies kicked a penalty early in the second-half to put Cinderford back in front, and soon afterwards Codlin went over for his second try following some excellent play by full-back Mike Wilcox.More good play from Wilcox then gave Sam Baker the space to race through to score with Davies adding the conversion. Davies put over a drop-goal to make it 25-8 before Blaydon responded with an unconverted try from James Hallam. With five minutes remaining Codlin completed his hat-trick, with Wilcox once again the creator, and Davies landed the conversion.
