Two tries from Cinderford winger Harrison Yorke helped Cinderford to a bonus point victory over Barnstaple.

The home side were soon pressing forward and the ball was quickly recycled to give Yorke the space to score the opening try wide out, which was well converted from the touchline by Liam Hemming. A lineout steal then enabled Cinderford to put more pressure on their opponents and centre Rob Winchle went through on the crash ball to score an unconverted try after 18 minutes of play.  Barnstaple had plenty of possession and a territorial advantage in the second quarter, but they were unable to breakthrough a resolute home defence and the score remained 12-0 at the interval.

Hemming and Barnstaple’s Jordan Petherbridge exchanged penalties in the early stages of the second half.  Harry Robinson scored a third try for Cinderford in the 57th minute when showed good skills to evade an attempted tackle and dive over near the posts, with Hemming adding the conversion. The visitors finally unlocked their opponents defence when Petherbridge forced his way over from close range to score a try which he also converted.

Cinderford went in search of a bonus point score straight from the restart and they got their reward when the forwards took the ball up to their opponents line before moving it wide to Yorke who did well to stretch out and place over the line for his second try, which Hemming converted to complete the scoring.
