Cinderford suffered a second defeat to Welsh Premiership opposition in as many weeks when Bridgend came out on top in this pre-season encounter, despite losing two of the three sessions.

It was the home side who dominated the opening 30 minutes, but they were unable breach a solid defence and turn their possession into to points apart from a solitary penalty goal kicked by Dan Trigg.

In the second session they were given a lesson in how to create and take scoring opportunities when Bridgend scored four well taken tries through Glen Lewis, Rhys Jones, Lloyd Evans and Ben Thomas, who also landed two conversions.

Cinderford did manage to score just before the end of the second session when centre Jack Adams went over a try which Mike Wilcox converted.

The final was much evenly contested but it was the home side who crossed for the only score, when a strong run from second-row Ben West saw the ball taken on by Stefan Hawley, who beat two defenders to get the touchdown.
