Cinderford were unable to halt the Old Elthamians juggernaut as they scored seven tries to maintain their challenge for a play-off place.

In perfect conditions it was the home side who soon opened the scoring when prop George Porter forced his way over from close range, with James Moffat adding the conversion.  Tom White reduced the arrears with two successful penalties before OE’s took advantage of their opponents losing two players to yellow cards to strike twice in quick succession through the prolific Dom Lespierre and Truman Sullivan, with White landing both conversions.  No8 Mike Denbee was next to score for the visitors, again bettered by White, before Cinderford reduced the arrears with a try from Sam Baker to make it 12-27 at the interval.

The second-half saw OE’s take control as they scored four more converted tries, the crucial bonus point try came through replacement second row Freddie Hosking, Denbee then went over for his second, before Lespierre completed his double, with his 31st try of the season. The scoring was completed when man of the match Ollie Claxton went over ten minutes from time, with White maintaining his 100% success rate from the tee.
