National League 2 (South) leaders Chinnor eventually proved to be too strong for Cinderford at Kingsley Road, overwhelming them in the second half as they scored 32 unanswered points and bring an end to their opponents seven match winning run.

The home side soon opened the scoring when centre Charlie Broughton burst through for a try under the posts, which Jonny Bentley converted.  Cinderford responded well and some good play by Alex Frame released Harry Robinson to score an unconverted try.  Chinnor pressed forward from the restart but a long pass was intercepted by James Moffat who raced clear to score a try, which he also converted.

The visitors were playing smart rugby at this stage of the match and they increased their advantage when a strong run from Sam Goatley created the opportunity for Robinson to gather up the ball and beat the cover defence to score his second try.  Bentley was on target with a penalty for Chinnor, as the first-half came to a close, but it was Cinderford who looked well placed going into the interval.

The second half began with another penalty from Bentley, before the home side regained the lead when Broughton scored his second try.  Decisions started to go against Cinderford and the home side broke away downfield where they were awarded a penalty try to increase their lead to 23-17 after 63 minutes of play.  The final ten minutes saw Chinnor run in three more tries, with impressive scrum-half Josh Davies crossing twice and Kieran Goss also going over, Bertie Hopkin kicking two of the conversions.
