Free posts are special delivery from RFU

CINDERFORD mayor Max Coborn and Gloucestershire RFU president Ben Jordan officially opened the club’s third pitch on Sunday morning (pictured).

The town council owned ground off Somerset Road (still known by many as Lister’s Field) was formerly home to various local football sides. Now, Cinderford’s fourth XV and junior sides are set to play there. Sadly, the opening game between the club’s under-16s and Monmouth School had to be cancelled.

The rugby posts were donated to the club by the Rugby Football Union following recommendations from the Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union.
